Great day to catch the ferry to the island. Beautiful 30 min trip from Auckland. Visited 2 wineries & 1 brewery and a gorgeous beach. Stunning views

A day of unique adventures
Started the day at Waitomo Glowworms Cave, couldn’t take pics in the cave, but it was pretty cool. Our next adventure was a treetop hike among the Redwoods, 22 suspension bridges in all, followed that with a hike through the same on the forest floor, last adventure for the day was a geothermal park, Hell’s Gate.
Westbrook Winery and Taylor’s
Had a wonderful first day in NZ. Both flights went smoothly, even was able to get some decent sleep on the plane. Nancy did a wonderful job driving us to the Taylor’s home, where we were treated like royalty. Took us to Westbrook Winery and then a delicious dinner of mussels and prawns.
