Water Day

Had a wonderful hike at Huka Falls, the color of the water was unbelievable and so clear. After the hike we soaked our feet at the Hot Water Beach on Lake Taupo and ended the night with lovely sunset.

Started the day at Waitomo Glowworms Cave, couldn’t take pics in the cave, but it was pretty cool. Our next adventure was a treetop hike among the Redwoods, 22 suspension bridges in all, followed that with a hike through the same on the forest floor, last adventure for the day was a geothermal park, Hell’s Gate.

Westbrook Winery and Taylor’s

Had a wonderful first day in NZ. Both flights went smoothly, even was able to get some decent sleep on the plane. Nancy did a wonderful job driving us to the Taylor’s home, where we were treated like royalty. Took us to Westbrook Winery and then a delicious dinner of mussels and prawns.
