Down on the farm

Our last Airbnb in NZ is on a small farm. Horses, ponies, cows, pigs, goats and dogs😀. Lyn our host was wonderful and gave us a walking tour to visit all the animals. Views of the mountains from our abode are breathtaking, especially when enjoying a bit of wine and cheese.

Started the day at Waitomo Glowworms Cave, couldn’t take pics in the cave, but it was pretty cool. Our next adventure was a treetop hike among the Redwoods, 22 suspension bridges in all, followed that with a hike through the same on the forest floor, last adventure for the day was a geothermal park, Hell’s Gate.

Westbrook Winery and Taylor’s

Had a wonderful first day in NZ. Both flights went smoothly, even was able to get some decent sleep on the plane. Nancy did a wonderful job driving us to the Taylor’s home, where we were treated like royalty. Took us to Westbrook Winery and then a delicious dinner of mussels and prawns.
